New Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
Legal
Our old Terms of Service and Privacy Policy were outdated and no longer described how Subscriber Checker works today, so we've replaced both. The new versions are written in plain language and cover everything the service does now: the platforms you can link, the features servers can turn on, and Premium.
Here are the highlights. This is a summary, and the full documents are what apply.
If you check your roles
We only read what a server's requirements need. When you link YouTube, Twitch or Patreon, we check whether you subscribe to, follow or support the channels and creators a server requires. Where a requirement depends on it, we also check the tier or amount of that support, or your own channel's audience size. We don't read your messages, watch history, comments or payment details.
Server admins see results, not numbers. An admin can see whether you met their requirements and which platforms you've connected. They never see the names of your linked accounts, or your exact subscriber counts, follower counts or pledge amounts.
YouTube data is only used for checks. Our access to YouTube is read-only, and we follow Google's Limited Use requirements. We never sell YouTube data, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models.
Nickname sync is your choice. If a server turns on nickname sync, your nickname there can be set to the name of a linked account. You can turn this off for every server from your profile.
If you run a server
Your settings are your responsibility. That covers your requirements and roles, and giving the bot the Discord permissions it needs.
Member data you export is in your hands. Check history you export, and events you send to a webhook, contain your members' information. Once it leaves Subscriber Checker, you're responsible for handling it lawfully and securely.
Features that act on members need their trust. Only turn on audits, log channel messages or nickname sync if your members can reasonably expect them.
Our support team may help directly. Staff can view your server's settings. They can change them when you ask for help, or when something is broken and affecting the service. Every change they make is logged.
Premium
Premium is a monthly subscription for one server, bought on our website or through Discord. It renews automatically until you cancel. When you cancel, Premium stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Removing the bot from your server does not cancel your subscription.
Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires a refund, though you can always ask us. Purchases made through Discord follow Discord's own refund policies. If the price ever changes, we'll announce it here before it applies to you. The new price only starts at your next billing period, which gives you time to cancel.
Your data and your choices
- Unlink any platform from your profile, and we delete its access straight away.
- Delete everything from your profile. This removes your account, your linked accounts and the records tied to you, and asks the platforms to revoke our access where they support it.
- How long we keep things. Check history, activity records and support requests are kept for no longer than a year. Usage statistics are kept indefinitely because they contain no personal information.
- What we never do. We don't sell personal information, show ads or build profiles of you. The website only uses the cookies it needs to work.
Staying informed
When either document changes in a way that matters, we'll announce it on this page before the change takes effect. The only exceptions are changes needed for legal or security reasons, which can apply straight away.
